Kerala Pareekshabhavan published notification for Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test ( KTET) - January 2019. Separate test will be conducted to select teachers for Category I (Lower Primary classes), Category II (Upper Primary classes) Category III (High School classes) and Category IV ( for Language Teachers -Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu (up to UP classes), Specialist Teachers (Art & Craft) and Physical Education teachers. Eligible and interested candidate may apply online before 02/01/2019
The test will conduct on 27/02/109 and 02/02/2019. The details with KTET 2019 are following.
KTET DETAILS
Category:
- Category I (Lower Primary classes)
- Category II (Upper Primary classes)
- Category III (High School classes)
- Category IV ( for Language Teachers - Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu (up to UP classes), Specialist Teachers (Art & Craft) and Physical Education teachers.
How to Choose Category:
The test is for:
i) Those who intends to be a teacher for Lower Primary classes and fulfills the minimum educational qualification (Category I)
ii) Those who intends to be a teacher for Upper Primary classes and fulfills the minimum qualification (Category II)
iii) Those who intends to be a teacher for High School classes and fulfills the minimum qualification (Category III)
iv) Those who intends to be a language teacher up to Upper Primary classes and fulfills the minimum qualification. For Specialist teachers and Physical Education teachers, K-TET is applicable up to High School level (Category IV).
v) Those who are awaiting the final result of a final semester of exams D.Ed/B.Ed
Scheme of the Test:
Test Pattern:
There will be only one paper in this category. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four distractors. Each question carries one mark. There will be four alternatives out of which one will be the correct answer. The total number of MCQs shall be 150.
Qualifying Marks:
- A person who scores 60% or more in the K-TET examination will be considered ‘KTET passed’ or ‘KTET qualified’. This will be the qualifying marks for all categories.
- Negative Marks: There shall be no negative marks for the test.
Age Limit:
There is no age limit prescribed for candidates appearing for K-TET.
Schedule of Examination:
The date, time, duration and other details will be published in the Notification for K-TET 2019 issued by Pareeksha Bhavan. Details given in the Prospectus are subject to change/modification which will be published in the print and electronic media. Candidates can have a watch on the website of Pareeksha Bhavan www.keralapareekshabhavan.in for such changes.
Language and Medium of Questions:
Questions for Category I, II and IV (except for languages) will be bilingual i.e. both in Malayalam and English. Question for Category III will only be in English (except for languages).
Examination Centers:
Pareeksha Bhavan, Kerala reserves the right to identify the examination center anywhere in the State of Kerala. Examination centers will be announced after inviting applications from the candidates. Provision to opt a district/educational district is provided in the application form.
How To Apply:
- The Prospectus, Notification, facility for online submission of application will be available at the websites of Pareeksha Bhavan www.keralapareekshabhavan.in. and www.bpekerala.in.
- The application should be submitted only through online.
- Print out of the confirmed application should be kept with the candidate.
- Before confirming the applications the candidate must verify and confirm all the entries, once confirmed there will be no provision for any correction
- After the form filling click final submission and proceed for payment
- Take a printout of application form.
Fee:
The Exam fee for each category is Rs. 500/- (Five Hundred only).The fee for SC/ST and differently able categories is Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and fifty only). Candidates have to remit the Exam Fee online by using SBIePay ( Net Banking/ Debit card/ Credit Card..)
